Financial Expert

Our client, Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has established a Corporate Finance Organization with an exclusive Structured Finance Cell (SFC) which will inter alia focus on tapping international capital markets to finance the WAPDA’s mega hydel power projects. In this connection WAPDA intends to hire a highly skilled and proficient financial expert to fill the position of Team Leader in SFC.

Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the job is to significantly assist in the raising of funds from local/foreign sources to cover the financing needs of hydel power projects in Pakistan. Reporting to the Head of SFC, the Team leader will be responsible to analyze WAPDA’s existing revenue stream and internal cash flow generation capacity, identify opportunities to enhance cash generation, devise financing strategies, prepare financial models carry out market assessments and related work as may be necessary.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a CFA/Chartered Accountant/Cost and Management Accountant with minimum 5 years of relevant post qualification experience in local/global investment and commercial banking institutions or in a globally reputed financial consultancy firm or consultancy practice in any reputable audit firm.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate his skills and expertise as follows

• Knowledge of modalities for raising/placing funds in both global and local financial markets.
• Understanding of working of international and domestic financial markets.
• Ability to diligently research in order to meaningfully determine, as needed, the capacity, potential and performance of capital markets/financial institutions both international and domestic.
• Ability to engage in sophisticated financial analysis.

Computer literacy and fluency in written/verbal English is essential.
