This post is responsible for four elements
- • Responsible for the day to day management of the Lending operation, which includes circulation counters, Membership desk, Help Desk and the Lending collection
- • Monitoring of work at the Membership desk, which includes sales of membership, data entry into KOHA system
- • Responsible for membership income and miscellaneous income and ensure that the cash is balanced at the till at all times.
- • Monitoring of the circulation counters which include check-in and check-out of material, checking the condition of the material returned, sending damaged material for repairs etc.
- • Handling customer complaints, requests, and suggestions on Lending Services.
- • Conducting library tours for new members and other institutions/individuals on requests.
- • Monitor on a daily basis the rosters for the Lending operation and make sure that the customer counters are staffed all the time.
- • Monitor the quality of services provided by the staff working at the service points and shelving areas.
- • Organising events and activities to promote library services.
- • To assist Manager, Library & Information Services on the selection, organisation and utilisation of resources for Lending services in order to have an up to date collection.
